How do I pack my skin care products to travel?
You have to be careful when you are packing skincare or cosmetics for traveling . Liquids (including cremes and mascara) over 100ml aren’t allowed in your hand luggage .Any liquid over 100ml found gets confiscated. Αnd trust me , you don’t want your La Mer creme to be thrown away , do you ? So , you need to put all your skincare products under 100ml into a pouch . However , if some of the products are more than 100ml then you should put your over 100ml products into travel bottles like these ones here on Amazon .
How can I keep my face fresh while traveling?
Keeping your face fresh and glowing while traveling is something to be concerned about .However , this task is easy when you know the right travel skincare essentials to pack with you . Below , you will find out the ultimate travel skincare essentials list.
1. MOISTURIZING CREAM
My choice: Innisfree Intensive Hydrating Cream With Green Tea Seeds ($25)
This is skincare 101. There’s no full travel skincare bag without a hydrating cream. In addition, A moisturizer is a must-have during your everyday makeup routine, but when you’re traveling, that’s when you need it the most. Weather changes, the long hour flights and so much more increase your skin’s need for hydration by making it drier.
This Innisfree hydrating cream is a clean skincare product, it deeply hydrates your skin, and it costs under $25. Could you think of something better?
2.FACE CLEANSER
My choice: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser
Again , we are talking about basic skincare steps you should follow always , even if you are on vacation and especially then.Great skin never rests! When I’m traveling , I prefer to carry a face cleanser that I can use as a make up remover too . Who wants to carry so many bottles ? Avoid very ”strong” cleansers that will dehydrate your skin .
That’s why I’m using this Youth To The People cleanser , which is gentle and leaves my skin soft and clean .It’s also available in travel size , if you want to avoid carrying big bottles with you.
3. DEPUFF EYE CREAM
My choice: SEPHORA COLLECTION Brightening Eye Cream – Hydrate & Depuff ($15)
The eyes are the most important part of your face, and they need very special care. Thank God, nothing painful or expensive. You will only need an eye cream. An eye cream that will keep your eye area bright and hydrated is the one to carry in your travel skincare bag.
The Sephora Collection -Brightnening cream is a $15 under eye miracle. I used to use more expensive $35-$50 eye creams, and the results are the same, and the card debt is lower.
4)A SPECIAL TREATMENT
My choice: Sephora Collection Ultra Glow Serum
I know that in your beauty fridge you own more than one serums. But when you are traveling you need to be light for many reasons. Also, if your destination is the Maldives or Tulum for example, then you should avoid treatments/serums with ingredients that cause photosensitivity. These ingredients are retinol, AHAs, etc. So it’s better to avoid them during your vacation. Instead, you can use a vitamin C + E serum to glow up during your vacation.
The Sephora collection Ultra Glow serum is a vitamin C+E serum that costs $20 and has the same results as other ”famous” serums. I started using this because it was only $20 and I couldn’t afford to spend more than $50 on a serum every month.
5)FACE SUNSCREEN
My choice: Lancaster Sun Beauty SPF 50
Never in your life step out of the house without a decent amount of sunscreen on your face. If I went to the Maldives without applying daily sunscreen on my skin, I would get burnt and my skin destroyed. It sounds dramatic but it’s true. Again, this is skincare 101. We are talking about basics, girls!
The Lancaster Sun Beauty SPF 50 with it’s signature orange color is like a Birkin. I mean, it’s the most classic sunscreen of all times. My grandma uses it for as long as I can remember. Also, I love the formula! Sometimes I don’t wear foundation and it works perfectly as a primer!
6)BODY SUNSCREEN
My choice: KORRES SPF30 Splash Face & Body Sunscreen
Same as the face sunscreen, body sunscreen is on the list with travel skincare essentials. When sunbathing it must be on your travel’s bucket list. Skin problems associated with the sun are real, and we should be well protected.
This KORRES sunscreen has a new interesting formula and texture. It’s like water, light, soft, and not oily ,what else could we ask for from a sunscreen. Also, it’s enriched with hyaluronic acid, organic cucumber extract, and panthenol . In addition, it protects the skin from dehydration caused by seawater, heat, and the sun.
7)LIP BALM
My choice: Lanolips The Original 101 Ointments
Flights and weather changes can give us dry lips. So, a lip balm in your skincare travel bag could be a savior. Please, don’t forget it!
Lanolips The Original 101 Ointments is the best lip balm ever. It’s made of lanolin, a super moisturizing ingredient that will keep your lips super soft and hydrated. And forget dry lips!
8) Hair Oil
My choice: Olaplex Bonding Oil
It’s great to carry your shampoo, conditioner and all the thousands of hair products with you ,isn’t it? However, they take a lot of space, unless you have them in travel size. So, to avoid this mess and at the same time keep my hair healthy and shiny I always put in my travel skincare bag my favorite hair oil, the Olaplex Bonding Oil.
The Olaplex Bonding oil and generally all the Olaplex products are worth the hype and do whatever they promise you! So, if you need a new hair oil, I 100% recommend you buy this one!
