THINGS TO DO IN PAROS ,ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW

Hello guys ! How are you doing ? Lately , we are enjoying the Greek summer in our base , Rhodes ! Sun , sand , salty hair and a lot of good Greek food , it sounds like paradise to your ears , right ? Well , I feel you ! I know what it means to have to be in a busy -crowded city during summer ! I hate this ! But even in that case , you will probably have a little time for summer vacation , right ? And what better place for your summer vacation than Paros , with all these beautiful things to do in Paros !!!

A small cycladic island with white houses , amazing beaches and colorful bouganvilleas .Paros is an island you are going to love and visit again and again for your whole life ! It’s beautiful , picturesque and full of life ! Also , it’s very easy to reach by plane or by ferry from Athens( Piraeus or Rafina port ) . So , we have picked  your destination and now you have to see what things to do in Paros !

So , yes we are going to talk about all the beautiful things to do in Paros island .

1)EXPLORE PARIKIA

Parikia is the centre of Paros . It’s a lovely place full of little stores and traditional white houses ! It’s perfect to walk around Parikia’s streets and explore the stores , the little churches ! Even Parikia is like a small town in the already small island of Paros , it’s full of little churches ! For me Parikia is the most beautiful Place in the whole island because it combines tradition and glam ! So , a walk down Parikia will convince you !

2)BRUNCH AT A TRADITIONAL GREEK CAFÉ (KAFENEIO)

Paros and especially Parikia is full of traditional cafes , in Greek we call them “kafeneia” , but the special thing is that  these places look even more traditional and Greek in Paros! They serve super delicious breakfast and brunch, some of them all day long . My favorite place for brunch in Parikia is Sympossium cafe ! It’s located in the heart of Parikia in Mado Mavrogenous square !

3)SHOP ANTIQUES AND HOMEWARE

Something that impressed us in Paros was the number of the antique stores! It’s impressive for this little island . The biggest antique store in the island is called Fasianos second hand store and its located in the street between Naousa and Parikia ! So one of the things to do in Paros is definitely antique shopping!!

4)EXPLORE NAOUSA

You have probably heard about Naousa in Paros before. Naousa is the most famous and cosmopolitan place in the whole island! If you google Paros you will see the classic photo of the white church , the tables and the sea , right ? This famous Instagram place is in Naousa ! Naousa is also full of clothing and accessories stores , so you can refresh your wardrobe with some Greek designer goodies ! Again it’s full of colorful bouganvilleas and little white and blue houses ! Just get lost in these beautiful little streets !

5) DINE BY THE SEA AT NAOUSA

Do you remember what I told you above about the most instagrammable place in Paros ? You have to dine there ! Imagine yourself and your beloved one in a romantic dinner by the sea ! It’s a perfectly romantic scenery , don’t you think ? Regardless the stunning view , you will also enjoy tasty Greek food and fresh sea food directly from the Aegean sea ! It’s one of the most perfect things to do in Paros !

6) DAILY CRUISE IN NAXOS AND OTHER ISLANDS AROUND

Paros is very close to Naxos , Koufonissia and many other little Greek islands ! Sailing in Cyclades is a lifetime experience ! You will see places with incomparable natural beauty and crystal clear waters ! It’s one of the most adventurous and relaxing experiences you can have in Paros ! Take two sunbeds at Faragas beach bar and enjoy the Greek sun in one of Paros’ most beautiful beaches !Another stunning beach in Paros is Aliki beach , also full of beautiful restaurants to enjoy delicious fresh seafood ! Martselo beach except the crystal clear waters offers a great view to Paros’ port ! If you are going to visit Paros , beach hopping is something you will definitely need do !

8) RENT A CAR AND GO AROUND THE ISLAND

Even though Parikia and Naousa are the most well known places in Paros ,they aren’t the only ones worthy to see . Places like Piso Livadi , Lefkes are full of life but not so crowded as Parikia and Naousa . Paros is a hidden gem and it waits for you to explore it ! Just rent a car and get lost in the island’s beauty!

9) A DAILY TRIP TO ANTIPAROS

There’s a tiny island next to Paros that is called Antiparos . Antiparos is getting more and more fans over the years . It’s a small treasure next to a bigger one ! You can get there from Pounda port ( you can drive there or take the bus ) by taking the ferry  . During high season ferries depart almost every 15 minutes and the duration is 10 mins .
Antiparos is full of charming beaches with crystal clear waters . It’s a summer paradise on earth ! A white island with colorful touches , full of beautiful secrets to explore!

10) Make a daily trip to Mykonos or Santorini

You already are in Cyclades so it’s the perfect opportunity to explore more cycladic islands . For our sake , Paros is well connected with Mykonos and Santorini . Mykonos and Santorini are the two most famous islands in Greece ( and maybe in the whole Europe) , well known for the luxury accommodations and cosmopolitan attire .
